FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
East Lansing, MI – Great Lakes Cyber Academy, the tuition-free, Michigan-based online public school for grades 6-12, has announced its official name change to Great Lakes Learning Academy just ahead of the upcoming Fall 2020 school year. The school’s name change reflects the revamped focus on what it provides its middle and high school students and happens in conjunction with the new award-winning curriculum it will now provide its students.
In addition to the school’s name change is a new curriculum and technology partner, StrongMind, which will be providing Great Lakes Learning Academy with an immersive curriculum packed with modern, user-friendly and engaging online coursework. StrongMind’s award-winning curriculum includes courses that are robust, research-based and contain interactive multimedia elements that aid students in building important skills.
“We are excited to become Great Lakes Learning Academy and to announce our partnership with StrongMind,” said Heather Ballien, Superintendent, Great Lakes Learning Academy. “This name change better reflects the vast learning opportunities we provide our students through online learning and the new curriculum from StrongMind that will help us best serve our students.”
Helping students reach their full potential has long been one of the core values at Great Lakes Learning Academy, and with this new partnership, they will further strive to give students the tools they need to become college, career and life ready.
Great Lakes Learning Academy is currently accepting enrollment for Fall 2020 on their website, GLLA.org.
